Todd Frazier signs 2-year deal with the New York Mets

Queens, New York — Former Yankees third baseman Todd Frazier, has signed a 2-year $17 million contract with the New York Mets. Pending a physical—Frazier will bring his “Thumbs Down” motto to Queens.

I’m really not surprised nor mad that the Yankees didn’t even give him an offer. Frazier is an awesome dude. Loved seeing him cheer on his teammates(especially in the playoffs), creating the “Thumbs down” motto,  and being a Yankees fan his whole life and finally getting to play for them. However, on the field—let’s just say I’m not the saddest guy to see him go. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched Todd Frazier come-to-bat and seemingly ground out or strike out to end a potential run scoring inning. In other words, he stunk. Hope nothing best for the guy, but glad to see the Yanks didn’t spend a dollar to get him back.
